Taryn grew up on the beautiful island of Maui, where her passion for hands-on creativity began at a young age. Her journey into the world of metalsmithing began when she seized a job opportunity as a jeweler at a small company on O'ahu. Now, after eight years of dedication, Taryn thrives as a full-time bench jeweler. Her creations draw inspiration from her fascination with the unconventional, as well as her love for heavy, dark metal music. As a metalhead feeling somewhat out of place in a tropical tourist haven, she channeled her unique experiences into her brand, Darkness in Paradise.
